Software at the cutting edge
AI | Audio-Engineering | Computer-Science
AI that leaves the decisions up to you. North3rnLight3r is where those ideas turn into working software.
Software should understand the work, not get in the way of it. Most of what I build started because I wanted something that didn't exist. AIFRED began as a better way to understand what was happening inside a mix. FORGE grew out of wanting an AI workspace that could actually understand a project, interact with the machine, and maintain useful context. FORGE-OS takes that idea one layer deeper by building the environment around the workspace itself. Different projects, same philosophy: measure what is real, keep the user in control, and build tools that make complicated work easier to understand.

AIFRED VST 3.6-Beta
A real-time mix analysis tool built to help you understand what your mix is actually doing while you're working on it.
AIFRED isn't a one-click mix generator, and it isn't here to throw presets at your track and pretend that fixed something. It measures the audio that's actually coming through the plugin, breaks down what it's seeing, and gives you useful information so you can decide what needs to change.
The Halo gives you a quick visual fingerprint of the mix — tone, stereo width, loudness, punch, dynamics, and how everything lines up against a reference. The meters are built around real DSP measurements instead of bouncing numbers around just to look active.
With AIFRED, you can look at:
- tonal balance
- stereo width and mono compatibility
- loudness, peaks, and dynamics
- punch and density
- reference alignment
- A/B comparison between your mix and a target
The whole point is to stop bouncing between five different meters trying to figure out what they're all telling you. AIFRED pulls that information together, gives you the bigger picture, and helps you figure out where to look next.
Less guessing. Better decisions. Better mixes.

Why AIFRED Exists
Why AIFRED Exists
A lot of tools give you numbers. That doesn't always mean they give you clarity.
When you're deep in a session, the hardest part usually is not finding a plugin to throw on the chain. It's figuring out what actually needs attention first.
AIFRED helps you answer questions like:
- Is this mix too narrow?
- Is the top end pushing too hard?
- Is it loud enough or just crushed?
- Is it actually punching or just dense?
- How far off is it from the reference?
- What needs to be fixed first?
Free Online Mix Analyzer
Upload a file and get a quick read before you ever open the full plugin.
The online analyzer is a simple first-pass tool for checking where your mix is landing.
It helps you get a quick outside read on:
- loudness
- tonal balance
- stereo behavior
- general mix translation
It is not meant to replace the plugin. It is there to give you a quick direction check and help you catch obvious issues earlier.
Drop in a file, run the analysis, and get a quick read on where your mix stands.

Mixing and Mastering
Pay for quality, not for time.
Mixing and mastering services are charged by the project, not by the hour.
The goal is not to drag a session out and run a clock on you. The goal is to get the record where it needs to be and make sure the final result actually sounds right.
